Catherine’s photography is respectfully quiet, always letting nature guide her. She enjoys creating peaceful yet powerful images, with the hope of inspiring the viewer to take a closer look at our natural environment and it’s inspiring beauty.
Coming from a family with professional photographers extending back several generations, her instincts have always been to pick up a camera. Catherine is the owner of Catherine Coy Design, an interior design firm and has studied both Art and Architectural History as well as Photography. She has also lived in Norway where she studied Norwegian Language and Culture.
She continues to be inspired daily by her childhood spent living among trees and at the beach in Northern California and from her many travels. These childhood memories of open spaces and clean beaches has motivated Catherine to donate 10% of each photograph sold to The Surfrider Foundation, a wonderful organization she has supported for many years.
Catherine’s work is currently collected throughout the US and Canada.
